Situated above the village of Pescaglia, The house has a large front terrace area with fabulous views overlooking the Pescaglia valley down towards the flat plain area of Lucca and beyond. From the house it takes approximately 1.25 hours to drive from Pisa Airport. . Lucca is approximately a 40 minutes drive, and Florence takes under 1 1/2 hours. Many other famous towns and villages are within easy reach. Bagni di Lucca the famous spa town, is only a short drive down and across the valley, and Abetone (ski resort) is about 45 kms away. San Gimignano and Siena are both about a two hour drive down the autostrade, and the nearest beach is just under an hour away at Lido di Camaiore.

The house has been totally renovated in a typical Tuscan style, and has two bedrooms. One double bedroom and one twin bedded room (sleeping 4 people, there is cot available on request) The bathroom is on the landing, complete with a roomy shower, wash basin, toilet and bidet, also an external toilet and shower room. The kitchen is new with a chestnut finish and a pink Sardinian granite worktop. The oven is electric with a gas hob. There is also a microwave oven, large refrigerator and dishwasher, (the washing machine is in the outhouse) The living room has an open fire place.

The front door opens onto a large terrace, which catches the sun for most of the day through the summer. There is a B.B.Q. available, as well as the terrace furniture. The property is surrounded by woodland, and there are many walks available. The nearest shop is approximately 2 minutes away (by car), and although small, many fresh supplies can be obtained here. The nearest restaurants are 3 to 5 minutes away (by car), and the food is to be recommended, with many other restaurants within a 10 to 20 minute radius, (car) The access is very good, via two lane tarmacadam road, just above the village of Pescaglia, with ample parking available near the house.
